Music is an art that talks to the soul fascinating it because represents still a mystery in a certain sense as Claude Debussy affirmed. MITO, the music festival going on in Milan and Turin from the 05 until the 23 of September, is particularly inspired from such idea proposing contemporary authors as Luis De Pablo and Kaija Saariaho. Not only new musicians but new genres like classic music, ancient, jazz, crossover and more. The Hotel Sanpi Milano and the Hotel Mediolanum, which are part of the international hotel chain Worldhotels, will be glad to have you as our guests: the 4 stars hotels are located in the city centre and they propose some special offers during this event.

To the same Debussy the 2012 edition is dedicate and to celebrate the 150th birthday of the great French composer, it opens with the concert played by the Orchestre National de France. The program lists music by Brahms and Beethoven with moments of magic atmosphere offered from the San Pietroburgo Orchestra, and intense emotions with the Matthäuspassion of Johann Sebastian Bach. This just to mention some of the compositions that will give life to the manifestation.

Parallel activities of the MITO are the Fringe and Dentrolamusica: the first takes place in Milan, while the second in Turin and both have the main goal to catch the young’s attention, to educate them to listening, to read the scores and to involve them in a creative and compositive process.
